Letters.$BlogItemTitle$>
Hey guys!
Have been thinking about the alphabet these past few days (kinda back to school?).
Well, just had the thought of the vowel qualities that we should have as we are nearing the end of 2008!
Yeah, the
VOWELS, as in
A E I O U.
A - AmbitionOne of the definitions for ambition is to have a strong drive for success. I hope that everyone would go forth into this last lap of 2008 doing our best and achieving the targets that we have set for ourselves at the beginning of the year, and also those that we have added along the way. Know that one of the most important things is just not to give up and continue persevering throughout all difficulties. Many of you are having your EOY-exams coming up, so do your best, study hard, and SHINE FOR GOD.
E - EnergyWe all need the energy to go through this last lap! It's also a reminder not to get too caught up in work and forget all about playtime! Take some time off each day (not too much... LIMIT LIMIT!!!) to do something fun and relaxing. Allow your body and mind to refresh so that they'll be able to work efficiently. Feeling lethargic? Take some time off to pray! It's super-effective!
I - InspiringInspire others to perform better through guidance and at the same time, encouraging them as well. As we bring others up to a higher level, we get to see many new and different things happening in our lives, and in our CG as well! Make people feel good about themselves through praising them for a job well done, and encouraging them when they are facing tough times and feeling down. Let them know that there will always be people around them who will share their troubles and run the race with them. This is where we get to see people rising up above their capabilities!
O - Organization/OpportunityWe've been through so many changes here and there, but change is always for the better. Look forward, organize our time and also the many other different things in our lives, and who knows, we might just find that things are so much easier to do, and also, more importantly, there will definitely be an increase in the amount of time we have in our hands as our time gets multiplied! Also, make full use of the opportunities ahead of you to do your best and achieve the sweet fruits of success!
U - UnityTeamwork is one of the most important parts of working together. Being united in thought and action will see things being done effectively and efficiently. More than that though, we're a family of W146 and W415, and a family looks out for each other and assists each member in times of need. So remember, that the rest of us here will always be looking out for, and helping YOU!
Well, that's the end of it...
Just remember that each of us is running a race, not against anyone else, but against ourselves. Whether we cross the finish line is all up to ourselves. These final 3 months will be a test of our faith and perseverance... Never Give Up!
Derek Redmond from Britain tore his hamstring in the 400 metres semi-final in the 1992 Olympics, but through the pain, managed to complete a full lap of the track with the help of his father. HE FINISHED THE RACE NO MATTER WHAT!
Likewise, we might fall and get hurt badly sometimes, but we can also lean on our Father, our Almighty God, for strength to finish this race!
Last but not least, realise that the vowels only consist of 5 letters of the alphabet. There are still another 21 consonants, and each of them can describe one or more qualities that we can have. I hope this has helped, and feel free to add to this! :)
Love,
Ash
